I'm sure this is a term a lot of you musicians have heard. I won't bother explaining the whole of the matter to you, merely say my piece.
I'm pretty torn between sides on this issue. On one hand, you want your music to be able to compete in the market. On the other, I have the utmost respect for artistic integrity, and feel that adding ass-loads of compression and turning it all up as loud as possible compromises those ideals. I suppose it'd be good to find a common ground (which is what I've been trying to do), but even going halfsies between the two, I feel like I'm compromising who I am as a musician.
I guess that's all I really have to say on the matter. A hell of a first post.
